On 25 February, the Environmental Competence and Education Centre (VKIC) of Ltd “ZAAO” is organising the final online session of the adult non-formal education programme “Saving the Family Budget by Living Greener.” The session topic is “Energy Efficiency in Your Household.” It will cover practical ways to use heat, electricity, and alternative energy sources, as well as how to reduce energy consumption, choose household appliances wisely, and ensure safety at home.

From 13:00 to 16:10, experts from well-known companies and public institutions in Latvia will share their knowledge and experience, offering insights into energy efficiency from practical savings, safety, and sustainability perspectives:
Elektrum Energy Centre: How to Use Energy Smartly and Reduce Consumption?
The lecture will be delivered by Edgars Korsaks-Mills, Senior Energy Efficiency Expert at the Elektrum Energy Centre.
AAS BALTA: Energy Efficiency: How to Save Safely?
BALTA risk management consultant and fire safety expert Jānis Vaivods will discuss safe solutions and risk reduction.
RD Electronics: How to Choose Sustainable and Cost-Effective Solutions?
The session will explain the importance of energy labelling and its practical application. The lecture will be led by Service Project Manager Dace Vende.
State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD): Fire Safety at Home!
VUGD representative Tija Zariņa will present key safety principles.
