As part of the LIFE Waste To Resources IP, starting from April 17, 2025, the State Environmental Service (SES) is automatically publishing information on producers involved in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems on the SES Registers website.
This marks the first time in history that such data is electronically accessible to the public and stakeholders – until now, this information was not publicly available.

What is EPR?
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems are mechanisms through which producers assume responsibility for the waste management of certain types of goods. These systems are designed to ensure that waste generated from used products covered by EPR is properly managed and does not pollute the environment. EPR includes the collection, recycling, and recovery of waste in accordance with the requirements set by regulatory legislation.
To obtain an exemption from the Natural Resources Tax (NRT), producers must conclude a contract with an EPR operator recognized by the SES.
What information is available on the Registers website?
A list of EPR operators who have signed agreements with the SES to implement EPR systems;
Producers involved in EPR who have a valid contract with an EPR operator and are exempt from paying the NRT for specific NRT items.
To check information about a specific producer, one must enter their registration number, which will reveal:
What are the benefits?
Reduced administrative burden – Information on EPR operators is now published automatically instead of manually, as it was previously;
Transparency and reliability – Businesses can verify whether they are registered for NRT exemption;
Monitoring capabilities – EPR operators and authorities can check the status of their contract partners and businesses;
Public engagement – Helps reduce the grey sector by enabling the identification of producers who are not complying with legal obligations.
Information about EPR operators for textiles and plastic products is still being published manually, but this data will also be included in the automatic publishing system in the future, alongside the introduction of relevant e-services.
