Second training session on waste management and circular economy for Eco-Schools teachers

24.01.2024

On January 25, 2024, the second training session for teachers will take place within the framework of the project LIFE Waste To Resources IP. The training will be attended by approximately 60 Eco-Schools teachers from all over Latvia.

We will review the work done during the semester, evaluate the experience gained and learn how to continue successfully implementing the project activities. The first part of the training will be attended by Daniels Trukšāns, the head of the Eco-Schools program of the Environmental Education Fund and Dace Jansone-Vēvere, the leading expert of the State Environmental Service, who will address the feedback provided by the teachers and help to solve the challenges encountered during the waste audit of educational institutions. Maija Krastiņa from the association Zero Waste Latvia will also participate, addressing the typical challenges of circular economy implementation in society, which are also faced by educational institutions, and providing ideas for creative promotion of circularity.

The second part of the training will be a sharing of experiences, where teachers from Tukums, Alūksne, Daugavpils, Valmiera, Laurenči and Liepāja will share their successes in implementing the project activities, followed by a group discussion on the experiences.

The planned agenda for the day can be found below:

We look forward to seeing you at the training!
