For teachers’ convenience, we’ve prepared a simple step-by-step guide on how to use the BioLoģika excursion programs. The entire process is clear and easy to follow – from exploring the programs to engaging students and receiving the reward.

Choose your region – Kurzeme, Zemgale, Vidzeme, Latgale, or Riga.
Each region offers two routes for younger students (grades 1–4) and two routes for older students (grades 5–9). Excursions last from 3 to 6 hours and include several stops, at least one of which is related to biological waste management.

Schools can participate in excursions as many times as they wish and try all available routes.
Each region offers two routes for grades 1–4 and two routes for grades 5–9, featuring different sites and activities.
The teacher can choose to follow the full excursion route or just one of the destinations that seems most appropriate for the class.
The excursion poster “Let’s Go on a Journey” (A3 format) can be displayed in the classroom or on the school notice board. Two educational A3 posters in Latvian are also available for printing – one for grades 1–4 and one for grades 5–9:
Contact the selected site managers to book your excursion visit between September 1, 2025 and May 29, 2026.
All necessary contact details – email addresses, websites, and phone numbers – are provided with each excursion program, so the teacher only needs to choose and get in touch.
Each excursion description indicates whether an additional task or worksheet is available (for example, “+ complete the task: The Journey of an Apple”).
The teacher can decide whether to use these materials and whether to print them. Worksheets and tasks are available for specific programs and can be a useful addition to make the excursion more interactive.

A teacher’s methodological guide (downloadable PDF) is also available. It includes explanations on how to use the additional tasks in various situations – in class, on the bus, or after the excursion.
The materials are divided by grade groups – 1–4 and 5–9 – and include ideas for storytelling, using Kahoot! games (with direct links for online use if you prefer not to print worksheets), and other activities that help students better understand circular economy and environmental protection concepts.

Take the prepared materials with you and explore the principles of environmental protection and circular economy together with your students.
During the excursion, follow the practical step-by-step guide, which reminds you of important details – route order, lunch break, safety, and on-the-way activities.
This will help make the day smooth, purposeful, and engaging.
If the class wishes to receive the game “Crazy Fox Sorts the Trash,” take a few photos during the excursion and fill out the evaluation form afterward (available here).
In the form, the teacher can upload photos and briefly describe how the excursion went.
After receiving the form, the class will be sent the board game.
Important: Each class can receive only one game, regardless of how many excursions they attend.
The game is available until May 31, 2026, or while supplies last.
